Our Stories Matter addressed childhood issues such as:

  • domestic abuse

  • substance use

  • poverty and deprivation

  • child sexual abuse

  • impact on people’s lives as they enter adulthood and beyond.

Life Through a Lens: Our Stories Matter was organised by the Community Justice Partnership and the Highland Child Protection Committee, and expertly facilitated by James Docherty from the Violence Reduction Unit.

The conference attracted over 250 delegates from

  • Housing, Army Welfare

  • Social and Youth workers

  • Educators

  • Barnados

  • Alcoholics Anonymous
